All,
I need some advice on upgrading my environment. I held off on upgrades until I felt the versions were stable, and it was safe to move forward. What I have in place today:
NPM 10.7
SAM 6.1.1 - same server as NPM
IPAM 4.0 - same server as NPM
NTA 3.11.0 - same server as NPM
VNQM 4.1 - same server as NPM
NCM 7.2 - still on a separate server
I need to upgrade to the latest versions for some functionality. I know NCM is now installed on the primary server, and I know NTA now needs it's own server. So, my thought was...
1. Uninstall NTA from the primary server. From my understanding, the data can't easily be migrated to NTA 4.x, and it's best to discard it and start over.
2. Install/Upgrade NCM to 7.2.2 on the primary server (follow migration path)
3. Uninstall NCM 7.2 on the old server
4. Upgrade NPM to 11.0.1
5. Upgrade IPAM to 4.2
6. Upgrade VNQM to 4.2
7. Upgrade NCM to 7.3.2
8. Build the old NCM server, adding more storage, and install/integrate NTA 4.0.3
Is there a flaw in my process logic? Any gotcha's I should watch for? Would it be easier to build a new environment altogether? What say you, oh Guru's the community?
