The table NCM_CacheDiffResults is very large. Our nightly Database Maintenance Jobs and Purge Configs jobs are running weekly with the default settings. Looking at their latest job logs shows that they were successful and are deleting records from the table. We don't have a large NCM environment at all, less than 300 nodes, but this table is at 12 GB. We were running with the default Comparison Criteria up until a couple of days ago where I went in and added a bunch of new entries to help combat some of the false positives that were showing up on the change reports (things like Time and stuff like that.)
Also, up until a few days ago we were only backing up Running configs. Since then we are backing up both Running and Startup. We don't have the Real-Time change detection running or anything like that. I can't find any documentation nor have I found much on Thwack regarding this table being so large. Does anyone have some tips on 1.) Cleaning this table up and getting it down to a more manageable size and 2.) Keeping it from growing too large again.
Thank You
