The current report that NCM produces on config changes is pretty good, but it is too long. This is especially evident when the report includes many nodes modified. In our case, we manage over 3,000 nodes, and it is not unusual to see over 50 changes to each of these nodes regularly. So, when we get NCM reports, we currently have to page down over and over -- to see which nodes were changed, by whom and when. So, I propose for NCM to provide a summarized report with the following columns:
Date and Time Hostname IP Address Changed by Link (to the Config Changes made)
The above report could easily handle over 50 nodes or more w/o much Page Down required. Also, by providing the ink, we could click on it and get details about what was changed on the node. By the way, I am pretty sure that something like the above report could be done via a SQL query. However, since I am far from a SQL expert, it would be ideal if this was an out-of-the-box report. Lastly, perhaps there are other columns that could be added to the NCM report, so I welcome your revisions. In any event, I would very much appreciate your vote on this idea. Good day!!!
