I apologize if this has been asked before but I could not find the answer if it was. We recently lost power to a group of servers. We were not alerted because one of the servers that went down was the mail server we use for SMTP. Does Solarwinds offer an external "dead mans switch" of sorts? We need an external device polling the SMTP server periodically that can fire off an alert to our network team if it does not receive a response over a particular period of time. We would like to go with solarwinds before resorting to a separate service. I was told spiceworks offers this service.
