On a dashboard you want to show the last 25 events lets say. So you add the standard last 25 events resource. And you get everything, all the little things you don't really care about. Wouldn't it be helpful if you can filter those out?
By filtering out "noise" you will have events that matter, and hence will be paid attention to better.

This should be a standard on the system. Many times during an upgrade we lose this and have to find it again. This should be a standard resource in Orion.
