(3) Network Monitoring uses of IPSLA

IP SLA is mostly knew to measure VoIP service quality whether there are users using it or not. But here there is more three other examples of IP SLA use:

1. simulated http traffic to monitor the response time between a Cisco device and an HTTP server to retrieve a web page;
2. measure the response time between a Cisco device and a DHCP server to obtain an IP address;
3. measure the difference between the time taken to send a DNS request and receive a reply.
