Please enhance the 'LastBackup' monitoring within AppInsight for SQL to be more granular. At present, the 'LastBackup' date does not distinguish between backup types. I have had requests from clients asking for the following:
- Alert me when the last full backup was XX days ago
- Alert me when the last differential backup was XX days ago
Without custom SQL queries, this is unfortunately not available at present. (confirmed with a ticket to support)
It would also be beneficial to differentiate between the backups of the database and transaction logs.
Of course, we would need all of these metrics available for trending as well (reporting).
